A creamy, comforting one pan chicken with buttered noodles recipe that comes together fast with simple ingredients—perfect for busy weeknights.
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons butter, divided
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
8 oz wide egg noodles
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped parsley (optional)
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Sear until golden and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of butter and garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
3. Add chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine, then add egg noodles.
4. Bring to a simmer. Cover and cook noodles, stirring occasionally, for 8–10 minutes or until tender.
5. Return chicken to the pan. Stir in remaining butter and Parmesan. Cook another 2 minutes until sauce thickens.
6. Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Use low-sodium broth to control saltiness.
Add vegetables like spinach or broccoli for extra nutrition.
Stir in cream cheese for an even richer sauce.
